Guilty Pleasure! Jorge Bischoff Shoes

Two words.. or names should I say; Jorge Bischoff. Now, I am not one to be obsessed with shoes.. but, ever since a Jorge Bischoff shop came into my life opened in my local shopping centre I have been obsessed! They're designer shoes so they're pretty expensive, therefore I only buy anything whenever there's a sale going on. I bought quite a few pairs in January as the sale was 70% off! How could I resist?!?! And yesterday I got a couple of opened toe boots (would have preferred them to be closed so I could wear them when it's really cold or raining) as the current sale is 50% off. Just as I was finished deciding my friend (who's the shop assistant too) showed me another pair of lovely shoes that have a buckle around the ankle. Which I wasn't sure about whether I should take them so as not to spend more money, but when I tried them on they looked so beautiful! So I was able to take the shoes home on a trial basis in order to help me come to a decision as I had said I would return to the shop again and if the shoes were still there then it was meant to be hehe, but we all know what happens when we do that, don't we? You go back and the product is never there! 'But then it wasn't meant to be, like you said' I here you say, but come on now, it's difficult to turn down a 'try before you' buy opportunity! Now let me tell you something about JB shoes, you look at a pair in a picture and you think they're nice, you see them 'in person' at the shop and they're even nicer... you try the damn things on and it's over! You want to purchase the shoes like, now! Seriously, this is what happens. This happened to me with a pair of shoes like these ones:

Peep Toe Tecido Floral Preto Jorge Bischoff

I couldn't find a picture of the actual shoes but they are similar to these ones, the only difference is there is no platform and there is a gold logo detail above the the peep part of the shoe. I saw the shoes in a Facebook post and initially I didn't like the floral print design but I had a proper look of the shoes in the JB store yesterday and changed my mind, then I tried the shoes on and they were amazing! Wish I could find a picture of the actual shoes to show! I'll update if I manage to get a picture.

Jorge Bischoff is a Brazilian designer shoe brand but some Jorge Bischoff models are available in the UK here! Ever so slightly more expensive than the prices in Brazil.

So why are Jorge Bischoff shoes so special? They're the most beautiful and comfortable (beautiful heels + comfort = AWW YEAA!) heels I have EVER worn. O M G, seriously people if you don't wear heels because you feel they are uncomfortable try a pair of JBs and you will not be disappointed! Other than this important point, every single shoe in the shop is bloody beautiful, even if a shoe might not be to my style it's still a beautiful shoe! No doubt that JB has become my favourite shoe brand/designer. The shoes are quite pricey but like I said, I definitely take advantage of sales because they are sooo worth the money. Think about it, Primark heels or heels from cheaper shops like Asda, Tesco etc. are usually quite uncomfortable (ooobviously I still buy them though seeing as I am a sucker for pretty bargainous shoes!) because of course, you are getting what you pay for. And other than that the detail and finish of the shoes will obviously not be the same as a pair of JBs or other shoes from a more expensive brand. As I mentioned before I'm usually not a huge shoe buyer so I do not have shoes from loads of different brands/designers to compare. (I definitely do not have anything like Jimmy Choos or Louboutins!) The only other pair of 'high end' shoes I have are a pair of Kurt Geigers (and yeah, they were on sale! hihi) and they too, are rather comfortable considering how high they are. (Don't have a good pic to show but will update when possible!) A noticeable thing when comparing my KGs to JB shoes is that most if not all JB shoes are so light which adds to the comfort. I'm not saying that the higher the price tag for a pair of shoes the better and more comfortable the shoes will be, but I definitely believe that you get what you pay for. As in, I do not expect a pair of shoes from George at Asda to be the same quality as a pair of shoes that I buy at a shop I know I'm paying for a really good quality pair of shoes. Just like food from Tesco's Finest range will obviously taste better than food from the economy range (Please do not think I am not bashing the economy range, I am simply making an observation. I enjoy the food from both ranges ;)) And I'm certainly not saying I think all high priced shoes are justly priced! I'm not sure if I'd ever be comfortable paying the price you have to pay for shoes like Jimmy Choos and Louboutins whatever the situation! I actually read an article about a pair of Chimmy Choos already looking worse for wear after hardly using them. Obviously for these types of shoes you are paying more money for the brand rather then the actual shoe itself.

I think when it comes to choosing good quality comfortable heels you generally will have to pay a bit more money. In my experience with this I've come across Jorge Bischoff and I believe the price isn't overboard for what you get. You really do see the effort and detail that goes into making the shoe be of good quality, beautiful and comfortable all at the same time. What do you think about this? Do you know any cheaper shoe brands that sell good quality comfortable heels? Or have you only been able to get this from more expensive sources?

PS I'd upload some pics of the shoes I got but I'm having problems with my camera's memory card adaptor so will update this post when that's sorted!

Argentinian Jewellery Haul - Todomoda

Hello beautiful beauts! I mentioned in my last post I was away, I spent a few days in Buenos Aires and picked up a few bits and bobs of course, hehe. I bought some earrings and rings, all the earrings are from the same shop including a couple of the rings (the three set one and the turquoise bronze one). The shop is called Todomoda, check out the website here. The other rings I bought at markets. Sorry, I can't remember the prices for anything but they were all very reasonable. I remember the rings I got at the markets cost about £1.50 converting the peso to the pound! The only one that was slightly more expensive was the golden one as it's gold plated but it was still super cheap.

Loved Todomoda! It has a semi Accesorize feel to it and I love Accesorize, I think I can definitely say it is probably my favourite accessories shop. What is/are your favourite accessories shop/s?

Beautiful Bargains!

Yes, I admit I am a die hard bargain lover! I can be terrible, as in I sometimes tend to impulse buy crap just because of 'how much of a bargain it was!' So you can imagine how tempting it is to splurge whenever I come across nice things with nice prices, hehe. This is my first favourite bargain post featuring boohoo.com, Debenhams and George at Asda. So without further ado here are my favourite bargains I've come across this week.

boohoo.com

Love this! For a more casual look I would wear flat sandals with this dress, though I do like the wedges here for a not so casual occasion.

Aimee Tribal Print Dress £20

Really liking this, I think this dress would look lovely with either a leather or denim jacket and pixie boots along with a plain scarf rather than patterned so as not to clash with the pattern on the dress.

Anna Aztec Print Scoop Neck Bodycon Dress £10

Luuurv lurv lurrrvv this playsuit! I like this particular type of leopard print on loose clothing. Would definitely wear this with a nice gold belt or gold detail belt! Brown or black for a more subdued look.

So, those were my current weekly favourite bargains. Have you come across any beautiful bargains recently? I'm currently abroad where most things are stooopidly expensive so whenever I see these steals online I want to buy everything at once! Looking through Ebay is like a kid browsing in Hamleys or something, hehe. I'll be back in the UK soon though so I might just go a bit mad when I hit the shops! Anyway, tata for now. See you in the next post, hope you have had a marvellous start to the week! x
